What Fort Bend County Booking Records Contain

When someone is arrested and booked into the Fort Bend County Jail, a booking record is created and becomes public under Texas Government Code Section 552.001. Fort Bend County booking releases include the person's full legal name and aliases, date of birth and age, physical description, identifying marks, booking photograph, inmate ID number, fingerprints, date and time of booking, arresting agency, custody status, housing assignment, classification level, charge information with statute citations, bond type and amount, court of jurisdiction, case numbers, sentence information, and release information.

Records are continuously updated throughout incarceration to reflect changes in custody status, housing assignments, and other relevant data. Fort Bend County is a large suburban county southwest of Houston and one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. The jail handles a high volume of bookings from multiple cities and law enforcement agencies.

Some records are not open to the public. Active investigation files, juvenile records, medical information, and victim personal data are withheld under state law. Booking records do not indicate guilt. They reflect charges at the time of arrest, not court outcomes.
