What El Paso Booking Records Contain
El Paso County booking releases are public records under the Texas Public Information Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 552). A standard booking record includes the person's full name, booking number, arrest date and time, charges, bond amounts, arresting agency, and custody status. Physical description, sex, race, and date of birth are also included.
The Odyssey court portal gives access to jail bond records in addition to case records. Bond records are useful if you want to know whether bail has been set and in what amount. Release information is added to the record once the person leaves custody.
Records may be withheld if they relate to active investigations, juvenile cases, or certain protected identifiers. The fact of an arrest and booking does not establish guilt. A booking entry means only that someone was processed into the El Paso County system on that date.
