The Scurry County Sheriff's Office maintains an online jail roster through a third-party records system. The official Scurry County website at co.scurry.tx.us links to VINELink for custody status checks. VINELink lets you sign up for free notifications by email, text, or phone when a specific person is released or transferred. That can save you from making repeated calls to the jail.

The county also uses the CIDNET platform for video visitation scheduling. All video visits are recorded and subject to monitoring. You can schedule visits up to seven days in advance through customer.cidnet.net. Each inmate gets up to three video visits per day, available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, with the exception of meal times.

For more detailed roster searches, scurryjailroster.org and scurrycountyjailtx.org both pull from the sheriff's inmate data. These sites list names, booking numbers, charges, bond amounts, and release status for current and recent inmates at the Snyder jail.

What Scurry County Booking Records Contain

When someone is arrested and booked into the Scurry County Jail, a booking record is created and becomes public under the Texas Public Information Act. Scurry County booking releases typically include the person's full name, date of birth, physical description, the charges filed, bond amount, arresting agency, and intake date and time. Release information is added once the person leaves custody.

Booking records from Scurry County may also show aliases, previous bookings in the county, the issuing authority for each charge, and disposition status. Some third-party sites include mugshots where the sheriff's office has released them.

Records that are exempt from public disclosure include juvenile offender records, active investigation files, medical records, and information that could compromise jail security. An arrest record does not indicate guilt. People are presumed innocent until convicted.

The booking process at the Scurry County Jail typically takes one to several hours. It includes identity verification, fingerprinting, medical screening, property inventory, and mugshot. Once completed, the inmate is assigned to a housing unit and the booking record becomes available to the public.
