What Medina County Booking Records Contain

When someone is booked into the Medina County Jail, a booking record is created that is public under the Texas Public Information Act. Medina County booking releases typically include the person's full name, date of birth, physical description, charges, bond amount, arresting agency, and the date and time of intake. Release information is added once the person leaves custody.

Certain records are exempt from disclosure. These include records tied to active criminal investigations, juvenile records, medical information, and child abuse files. The Sheriff's Office may withhold exempt records or seek a ruling from the Texas Attorney General before responding to your request.

A booking record is not a finding of guilt. It reflects the charges at intake, before any court has acted on the case. Medina County booking releases do not indicate conviction.
