Which Jail Handles Plano Bookings
Plano does not operate its own county-level jail. What Plano Booking Records Contain
Collin County booking records are public under the Texas Public Information Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 552). A standard entry includes name, cell block, physical description, date of birth, sex, race, ethnicity, arrest date, release date, days in custody, and approved visitor list. Exemptions apply for juvenile records, sealed or expunged records, medical and mental health information, and security-related jail operations data. Social Security Numbers and similar identifiers are also protected.
Visitation at the Collin County Detention Center allows one adult visitor daily, who must be on the approved list. Visitors under 17 may visit only if they are a child of the inmate. Sign-up happens between one hour and 20 minutes before visitation. Each visit is 25 minutes. Valid government-issued photo ID is required. Remote video visitation is available 9 AM to 9 PM through ICSolutions.
An arrest and booking record does not prove that the person is guilty. The record documents only that they were processed into custody on a given date.
